About Sir MVIT College ​

Sir MVIT(Sir M Visvesvaraya Institute of Technology) established in 1986. MVIT is affiliated to the VTU(Visvesvaraya Technological University) and approved by AICTE(All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi). Sir MVIT is accredited by NBA(National Board of Accreditation) and also certified by an ISO 9001:2008(Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronic and Communication Engineering, Department of Biotechnology). Sir MVIT is spread over 133 acres and it is situated near the Indian Air Force camp, Yelahanka, Bengaluru cross. It has 2800 students and 260 faculty members. All the department campus of this college is spread over 53.8 hectares.

Sir M Visvesvaraya Institute Library​

The departmental library has about 64897 volumes of books with 1237 titles. Sir MVIT is a member of DELNET(Developing Library Network) is a major resource library network in "South Asia". So, the library timing is
between 8:45 am to 9:00pm.

Hostels ​

Sir MVIT has four boys hostels and two hostels for girls. One girl hostel block is under construction. Without permission of warded is strictly prohibited and also inside the hostel smoking and drinking is not allowed. In mess serves both vegetarian and non-vegetarian foods. Breakfast timing is 7:30 am to 8:45 am, lunch timing is from 12:00 pm to 2:30 pm.
